Multilingual Learning

SPPS is committed to providing universal access to the curriculum and grade-level standards for all students. WIDA standards, frameworks, and resources inform academic language instruction and EL identification in SPPS. Throughout the SPPS district, English Learners (ELs) receive EL services within general education classes through a collaborative and co-teaching model.

At Online Elementary Schools, EL students receive EL services within their English general education classroom setting through a combination of push-in small group instruction, collaboration, and co-teaching.
