Dear Families,

Welcome to 3rd grade! This year is an exciting milestone as students grow into more independent learners and explore new challenges across all subject areas. Our classroom will be a supportive, respectful community where every child is encouraged to learn, take risks, and succeed.

What We’ll Learn (Aligned with Minnesota State Standards):

• Reading & Writing: Build comprehension, explore fiction and nonfiction, and practice narrative, opinion, and informative writing. We will also learn to read and write cursive writing!

• Math: Master multiplication, division, fractions, and problem-solving strategies.

• Social Studies: Study communities, geography, government, and economics.

• Specials & Enrichment: Art, music, physical education, and STEAM.

Expectations & Homework

Students will be encouraged to practice responsibility and independence in completing their Seesaw work.  Work that is not completed during class will need to be worked on and completed during asynchronous time at the end of the school day. 

Communication

We value strong partnerships with families! You’ll receive regular updates about learning, events, and ways to support your child at home.  This will be sent to your email every Sunday, please ensure we have your updated emails in your Campus Account.
