Report Student Absences

Communicate EVERY DAY that your student is going to be absent from school. Inform the school about barriers to attendance and we will do our best work with you and your student.​

Call or email the Attendance Line: 

• Elementary (K-5): 651-744-4707 or oes.attendance@spps.org ​
• Secondary (6-12): 651-744-4711 or oss.attendance@spps.org ​ 

When leaving a voice message or email, provide:

• Student Name
• Parent Name
• CIF or DOB
• Date(s) of Absence
• Reason

If a student has 5 or more unexcused absences, we are required by law to contact the County that you live in. You may receive information from the school or County if unexcused absences continue.
