Student Winter Art
In November and December, our elementary students created tons of art.
1st grade learned to show depth in art using various sizes and shades of color.
2nd and 5th Grade students learned about MN Indigenous traditions, perspectives, and practices and how they value animals and nature through my art and discussions. They observed the wolf cam in Ely, MN, the Great Horned Owl cam, and a loon cam to connect with Ojibwe and Dakota values to wrap up our Indigenous unit.
4th graders learned how to show depth and value in their art using silhouettes and a value scale.
