Kim Stout

I have been a school social worker in St Paul Public Schools since 1999!  I feel blessed to get to know students both in and out of the "classroom setting" where together with family, guardians and teachers, we can work on challenges presented in class or barriers affecting their education.  I feel strongly schools can't educate students on our own, so I will work hard to build strong relationships with our students' families and caregivers. 

I am originally from Illinois so I tend to favor Chicago sports teams, however after living most of my adult life in Minnesota, I suppose I can honestly say it is becoming more equal.  I earned my Master of Social Work from University of Denver before moving to Minnesota and getting married. My husband and I live in Vadnais Heights with our teenage daughter and our dog, Izzy. Our son attends the University of MN- Go Gophers!!  In my free time, I love to travel, spend time with friends and family and am an active volunteer at our church.
